Tom Brady's time in the NFL seemed to come to an end during the 2022 offseason when he announced his retirement from football in a heartfelt Instagram post. He retired after seven Super Bowl wins and was coming off a season during which he was one of the NFL's best quarterbacks.
Indeed, it seemed like Brady was going out close to the top. He hadn't won a Super Bowl title during his final season with the Buccaneers, but he had still enjoyed more succe s during his career than any other NFL quarterback.
Still, that wasn't enough for Brady. After rumblings of a potential return turned from whispers to dull roars, it was revealed that the quarterback would return to the NFL for his age-45 season. The news shocked the NFL world and many believed his presence made the Buccaneers instant contenders again.
However, fast forward seven months, and things aren't going as well for the Buccaneers as many had a sumed. They are sitting at 3-4 seven games into the season and are coming off a brutal, 21-3 lo s to the lowly Panthers.
Surely, this isn't what Brady had in mind for his return to the NFL. It is becoming clearer and clearer that he is growing frustrated with his team's performance during the 2022 NFL season, and he is starting to show it more as the season goes along.

Feb. 1 after playing 22 seasons with the Patriots and Buccaneers. He announced the decision in an Instagram post, saying, "I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention."
March 13 After spending 40 days in retirement, Brady reverses course. He cited as his reason to return to the field. The decision was made on eve of free agency and gave the Buccaneers time to focus on re-signing their key free agents. E sentially, Tampa Bay opted to bring the band back together for one more run.
March 30 Just weeks after Brady's return, Buccaneers coach from the position. He steps into a consultant role with the team, which allows former Jets coach and Arians' long-time defensive coordinator Todd Bowles to become the head coach.
March 31 Arians denies that his decision to retire was influenced by a rift between him and Brady. "I have no clue where it comes from," .
May 10 Brady inks a ma sive, to join Fox as its lead color commentator whenever his career ends. This further confirms that Brady will continue to be involved in NFL football beyond 2022.

Sept. 15 Gisele Bundchen Tom Brady's wife, and an internationally renowned supermodel speaks about her husband's decision to return to the NFL. She seemed to expre s disappointment that he had not followed through on his plan to retire.
Obviously, I have my concernsthis is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present, . I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. Bundchen also explained that she felt like she had done a good job doing what was required of her to keep her family safe and happy. She didn't say whether Brady had fulfilling his duties.

Prior to Bundchen's comments, many had wondered whether the marriage of Brady and Bundchen was OK after Brady's decision to return. Bare minimum, it seemed like there was at least a bit of tension there.

The Buccaneers' offense had trouble getting going for most of the game. Brady's receivers were banged-up, so before Marshon Lattimore was ejected from the game , Brady couldn't find much succe s amid drops and miscommunications.

Oct. 6 Bundchen had threatened divorce several times in the past because of football. She had also previously separated from him before as a result of those threats.
Further, it is reported that Bundchen wanted Brady to stop playing football and was miffed by his decision to unretire. TMZ reported the two are on speaking terms and that they are "as amicable as it can be."
Oct. 6 Brady criticizes over the first month of the season. This includes analysis of the Buccaneers, who had just fallen to 2-2 after a 41-31 lo s to the Chiefs.
