FanDuel Picks Week 17 NFL DFS lineup advice for daily fantasy football GPP tournaments
The Week 17 main slate is as full as weve seen it in a few months -- injuries notwithstanding. Much of the NFLs playoff picture remains unsettled as we enter the penultimate Sunday of the regular season. We tried to place an emphasis on rostering players from teams that still have incentives and goals to achieve. Since most fantasy football owners are done for the year, it's time to take on GPP tournaments, and our Week 17 FanDuel DFS Tournament Lineup can at least give you ideas on a solid strategy. For this one, we're calling on a risky RB and WR, but paying up for an elite tight end. Before we get into this week's lineups, here are the basic rules for FanDuel contests. Scoring is pretty standard, with the only notable settings beingfour-point pa sing TDsandhalf-point PPR.WEEK 17 FANTASY: | | QB Trey Lance, 49ers vs. Texans ($6,400). Lance appears in line to earn another start with Jimmy Garoppolo suffering a thumb injury that includes a fracture and ligament damage. Lance may still be raw, but his rushing ability raises his ceiling. He scored 20.38 FanDuel points in relief against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4, and another quality score will be in store against a middle-of-the-pack defense.RB Jonathan Taylor, Colts vs. Raiders ($10,000). The potential return of guard Quenton Nelson will be a big plus for Taylor, who figures to
Paul Krause Jersey receive as much volume as he can handle plus a little extra. If Carson Wentz (reserve/COVID list)is forced out of action Sunday, the entire Colts organization will position itself on Taylors shoulders in a must-win contest.MORE WEEK 17 DFS: | | RB Boston Scott, Eagles @ Football Team ($6,000). The Eagles can often deploy their backfield in a vexing manner, but with Miles Sanders (hand) out for Sundays contest, were going to bet on Scott handling a balanced workload. He scored 18.0 FD points against the Lions in Week 8, and he should see enough volume to flirt with the 20-point mark once again.WR Amari Cooper, Cowboys vs. Cardinals ($6,700). The Cowboys clinched last week, but they still have an outside shot at earning a first-round bye. Cooper is third on the team with 90 targets and leads all pa s-catchers with seven touchdowns. The Cardinals have been sputtering of late, and we expect the Cowboys to have succe s moving the ball and putting points on the board.WEEK 17 STANDARD RANKINGS: | | | | | WR Odell Beckham Jr., Rams @ Ravens ($6,500). Beckham continues to operate as the clear No. 2 behind Cooper Kupp, but were going to roll the dice on the dynamic receiver anyway. Hes seen at least seven targets three times since joining the Rams, and hes scored a touchdown in four of his last five. The Ravens are banged up in the secondary. If they dedicate extra resources to slowing Kupp, Beckham should see a number of favorable matchups.WR Nico Collins, Texans @ 49ers ($5,200). Collins is our wild card as we try to tuck in a few premium investments into this weeks lineup. It was disappointing to see him only draw four targets, but he did find the end zone while playing his third-most snaps of the season.WEEK 17 PPR RANKINGS: | | | | | TE Travis Kelce, Chiefs @ Bengals ($8,200).The Chiefs have a playoff spot locked up, but now their sights are set on claiming the AFCs first-round bye. The Bengals have surrendered the most FD points to opposing tight ends, and its easy to imagine Kelce having a little extra juice after being forced to sit out last weeks contest.FLEX (RB) Devin Singletary, Bills vs. Falcons ($6,000).The Bills have retaken the top spot in the AFC East after a pair of wins -- including one over the Patriots. They havent clinched a playoff berth yet, but theyll take another ma sive step in that direction with a victory on Sunday. Singletary should have the opportunity to play a large role in those efforts. Hes eclipsed 16.0 FD points in two straight weeks and handled 40 touches over that span.WEEK 17DFS LINEUPS:|DEF Patriots vs. Jaguars ($5,000). The Patriots playoff hopes remain very much a reality even after two straight defeats. Its difficult to imagine a Bill Belichick-coached team laying an egg in a spot with so much incentive to dominate and put the game away.
