The Dallas Union Station, also referred to as the Dallas Amtrak train station, is a historic transportation facility located in the downtown area of Dallas, Texas. It is one of the most important stops on the Amtrak passenger train route, including the famous Texas Eagle train route, connecting Dallas with other large cities such as Chicago, San Antonio, and Los Angeles. The Dallas Union Station was opened in 1916 and is characterized by traditional Beaux-Arts architecture, large waiting rooms, and proximity to public transportation such as DART light rail and buses.
